Step 6 – CHART YOUR PROGRESS

Step 6 – CHART YOUR PROGRESS

Okay, so I’m a little late with step six of getting started reviving your temple. But better late than never. This next step could very well be the most important step of all.  If one of your goals is to eat healthier, your new lifestyle will take some getting used to.  There will be mishaps along the way.  But you don’t want to lose sight of your motivation, so keep a record of your progress in the journal I mentioned in Step 1 – SET AND WRITE DOWN GOALS. You didn’t forget to purchase your journal did you? Okay, good. So, if you start to backslide on munchies or forget to read your Scriptures, scan your notes.  When your progress is before you in black-and-white, you’ll be more enthusiastic and confident to press toward the mark.

Remember, you may stumble now and then but God is able to keep you from falling.

Today’s Prescribed Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:7-8

Until you read again…Hold Your Hope!

Step 5 – CREATE A WEIGHT LOSS PLAN

Rise and shine! The Son is already up! This is the day the Lord has made…REJOICE! This morning I have step five of getting started reviving your temple, which is to:

Step 5 – CREATE A WEIGHT LOSS PLAN

To lose one pound a week, you must consume 3,500 fewer calories than you expend.  This amounts to decreasing you caloric balance by 500 calories per day.  It’s just that simple.  Burn more calories than you consume.  Your weight loss plan should include a combination of fat burning cardiovascular exercise, and calorie burning weight bearing exercise.

Don’t forget, your spiritual exercise while you’re at it.

Today’s prescribed Scripture: 3 John 2

Until you read again…Hold Your Hope!

Step 4 – DEVELOP A PRAYER LIFE

Step 4 – DEVELOP A PRAYER LIFE

Good morning, temple shapers! I can’t stress enough the importance of step four in getting started reviving your…God’s temple. Prayer! If you haven’t already, develop a prayer life.  Bodily exercise is perfectly fine. Necessary even if, like me, you have issues with stiff, swollen joints. But spiritual exercise is much more important and is a tonic for all you do.  So exercise yourself spiritually, and practice being a better Christian because that will help you not only in this life, but in the life to come.

Today’s prescribed Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

I’m praying for you! Until you read again…Hold Your Hope!
